Recommendations Based on Pre-Quiz Results

If you took the pre-quiz, instructions for how to review the recommendations you received are given here.

If you were not able to take the prequiz for some reason:

Prerequisites: (or Background) This document lists the expectations we have for someone taking this course. Please read this through and if you are not sufficiently prepared for this class you should contact the instructor  right away to explore your options. If you have taken High School Chemistry but it was not a recent experience and you feel you may need extra help in this course, consider taking Chem 108. Information about Chem 108 is given at the Chem 108 Course Web page.

In brief, if  you took the pre-quiz and scored

<30% : Consider registering for Chem 101

30–40% : Add Chem 108

Questions concerning these recommendations, see your Chem 110 instructor right away. Schedule changes can be made via e-lion or by going to the Chemistry Undergraduate office (210 Whitmore).

NOTE: the deadline to add classes is Weds. Jan. 23. You will not be allowed to add Chem 101 or  Chem 108 after the deadline.

There are still openings in Chem 108 but the first Chem 108 class was Tues. Jan. 15. Try to attend the second Chem 108 class on Tues. Jan. 22—even if you don't have time to register. If you missed the first Chem 108 class, go to the Chem 108 course page and select announcements to find out what to do.
