All the exams in Chemistry 112 are closed-book exams. You will need a No. 2 pencil and a calculator for all the exams in this course. If your calculator is programmable, you will
not be allowed to use it. Bring a simple scientific calculator.
Some information that you are not expected to know (physical constants, a periodic table, and certain key formulas - see
Exams from Previous Semesters for examples) will be provided on your exam.
It is OK for you to bring your books and notes to the exam room and to study from them before the exam. However, all loose items (notes, books, etc.) must be zipped up in a backpack or placed against the far wall of the room before the exam begins.
All the exams in this course are in multiple choice format. The best strategy for taking such tests is to read through the entire exam and do all the "easy" problems first. This should leave you plenty of time to then go back and do the hard ones. Good luck on the exams!
